WorkSmart: Healthier companies start with the mind
The workshop demonstrated how mental health and innovation go hand in hand, creating balanced, productive, and creative work environments.
On October 30th, INOVAGAIA held the workshop WorkSmart: Mental Health and Innovation in Business, an initiative designed to reflect on one of the most pressing issues in today’s corporate world: mental health. During a dynamic afternoon, participants explored strategies to manage stress, improve communication, and foster healthier and more innovative workplaces.
Helena Pereira, Psychologist at Visual Thinking, one of the companies based at INOVAGAIA, emphasized that “promoting mental health is not a one-off action” but rather “an organizational commitment that requires culture, processes, and relationships built on trust.” Topics such as mindset, emotional intelligence, time management, and effective communication were discussed through practical exercises and co-creation moments, generating solutions applicable to everyday business life.
According to the World Health Organization, burnout is an occupational syndrome, and 1 in 5 employees shows signs of stress — highlighting the importance of initiatives like this one. Ignoring this reality comes at a high cost: absenteeism, presenteeism, turnover, and mistakes that directly impact productivity.
With WorkSmart, INOVAGAIA reaffirms its mission to support companies in building more human, balanced, and creative environments — where taking care of people also means taking care of the business.
